Hi, I'm Michael.  I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina and I love music, photography, and Mexican food.

Thank you for showing interest in my photography! For Blue Kite Photo, shooting your wedding or engagement means more than showing up with a camera and capturing images before parting ways.  For me, fine art photography is about connecting with my brides and grooms on a level that is reverent of the special love that they share.

I believe that your wedding day is just that -- an entire day.

I arrive at the beginning and stay through the end, because that day, your day, is one of the most monumental experiences of your life that needs to be captured to the best of my ability.  That includes dedicating my time to truly capture the entire memory of the day through my photographs.

I like to shoot a mixture of candid shots and posed portraits.  Every single wedding is unique, and I shoot accordingly in the best way to accurately capture the emotions and atmosphere of the day without interfering or interrupting.  There are obvious moments when direction is needed (post-ceremony family portraits, for example), but I love to keep all of my photos as organic and in-the-moment as possible.

It is my hope that you can look at my work and immediately experience the emotion involved in the moments captured through my photographs.  I would love to sit down and chat to learn more about what makes you special as a couple.  This allows me to present a much more personal, accurate image of your wedding day.  Something about a photograph immediately stirs up every feeling and memory from a moment in time, and it is so incredible to be trusted with the responsibility of capturing lifetime keepsakes.
